I am beginning to think Christmas thanks to all of the stores forcing the big trees and decorations on me. (Can we no longer wait for Halloween to pass atleast?) And then visions of bills and car payments and our savings account dance in my head. Let me tell you, it really brings out the festive-ness in me.
I figure I’ll be like those overachievers and make everyone a special, handmade gift this year. Lets just set aside that the last time I picked up anything crafty it ended up in the garbage. We’ll just say that my creative juices haven’t started flowing yet. Crochet a blanket? Not my style. Make handmade cards? You better just give me a glass of something strong and let it soak in before I get started. Anything involving glitter and glue will undoubtedly make me grumpy.
And then I saw these babies:
TA-DA! Maxi pad slippers! PURE GENIUS, am I right?
What? Is this not an acceptable gift? I won’t be using them before hand. I’m thinking about my wallet here, these only cost me $4 for a whole box, just think of the possibilities! These adorable slippers are not only squishy and comfortable but I plan on splurging to get the scented variety so that their feet can smell fresh and clean 24/7.
Not for mention, they are biodegradable and environmentally safe. And if they’re in a bind and they need a little extra protection, just dismantle and put in yo undies.
Yes, I think this will be a very special Christmas indeed.

I love it! I hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea. I have visions of bills and car payments and college tuition dancing in my head. Seriously, what college co-ed wouldn't love a pair of these? I could afford to make her several pairs to match her pajamas du jour. And since most of my friends are menopausal, we can just get together to use up those leftover supplies sitting in our bathroom cabinets. Thanks for brightening my Christmas.

this is hilarious I actually proper laughed. Until u said maxi pad slippers I had only glanced at the photo and I actually thought they looked cute…awkward for me!! I also love the “overachievers who give everyone homemade gifts” bit…god I hate those people!x
