Shut Up and Salsa – you can rest during the merengue songs!

That’s a tshirt. I would own it if I knew how to salsa, but I leave that to people who actually have rythym. And that leaves me making salsa so I can eat chips and dip while watching Dancing With The Stars! Insert heavy sighs here…

Homemade Jalapeño Salsa

What You Need:

  • 2 8oz Cans of Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Jalapeños, stems removed
  • Garlic Powder to taste
  • Salt

Get Cookin’:
In a pot of water, boil the jalapeños until they turn a light green. Pour out majority of the water out, only leave about a tablespoon. Pour into blender with tomato sauce and garlic salt. Blend until smooth. If it’s too hot, add more tomato sauce. Season with salt. Pour onto tacos or eat with some tortilla chips. Enjoy!

*You can add onions and fresh cilantro for variation, but I promise it’s good without anything added!

Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.

That is just TOO FUNNY, “shut and salsa”. Great recipe on top of it! I'm so glad that you found my blog and commented so that I could find you back in return and follow your posts as well. I have my very own “jesse” in Chicago, my son who moved from the South back to the Midwest where we are from (Iowa and a plentitood of relatives in Chicago!). Your blog is absolutely darling and I hope to be a follower and friend for years to come! Ciao, Roz at la bella vita
