Frustrated!

I’ve been getting frustrated lately. I have several items left on my list and my goal is to be done by December 14th. That will have given me 6 months to complete all 100 of my small goals. (I can’t imagine how sluggish a list of larger goals would take me…a lifetime, I guess.)

I’ve been trying to figure out why I’ve seemed to hit a wall lately. I think, sadly, most of it comes down to lack of fundage. Most goals I have on my list aren’t free. Oops. So, one weekend I’ll say screw it – let’s just forget our bills and go on an adventure. Boyfriend talks me out of it. I’m sort of glad, then I hop on the internet to search for another activity near us. The following weekend Boyfriend will be feeling adventurous…and I won’t want to get ready and do my hair or I’m airing on the side of caution. Never fails.

Guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

So here’s what’s left:
4. Try an exotic food with my dad. (I think I’ve picked grilled peaches…we’ve never had that before)
5. LOSE SOME WEIGHT.
6. Watch the sun set.
7. Take my mom to a nice dinner – and pay for it!(Will be doing this Nov. 28th for herbirthday!)
8. Get a tattoo.
9. Bake 3 *new* desserts.
10. Carve a pumpkin.
12. Get my 2010 Hikers Badge with my pups.
13. Write in my journal 1 month.
14. Watch the sun rise.
15. Have a big-headed picture drawn of me at a theme park.
18. Learn to bartend (or atleast make decent drinks.)
24. Write a poem for a loved one.
26. Make a scrap book of my dogs.
28. Build a perfect snowman.
33. Make something crafty.
34. Donate to Toys For Tots.
38. Take a picture with a liger.
39. Not have road rage at all on my way to work – just one day.
43. Dance without being self conscious – being drunk doesn’t count!
44. Go ORBing.
45. Go ice skating in Chicago.
47. Go snowmobiling.
48. Thread my eyebrows.
50. Go to a comedy show.
52. Make cake balls!
53. Keep an orchid alive for atleast a month.
54. Make a family photo album.
55. Be romantic, just once.
57. Snowball fight!
59. Smoke a hookah.
60. Learn 20 words in another language.
63. Go to a brewery and try atleast 3 types of beer.
64. Try a new restaurant.
66. Go on a Ghost Tour!
67. Make a drink with a pomegranate.
69. Buy an expensive pair of shoes and not feel quilty afterwards.
74. Go horse back riding.
75. Go to a wine bar.
76. Go to a Haunted House – real or fake.
77. Spray tan!
78. Attempt to snowboard. (Key word being attempt!)
79. Take atleast 25 good pictures of my boyfriend and I in a 3 month span.
81. Dye atleast 1/2 of my hair blonde…like really blonde.
82. Stargaze.
83. Surprise someone without ruining it (I hate surprises!)
90. Try 1 restaurant that was on Diners, Drive In’s, and Dives.
91. Learn how to use my camera – not on auto.
93. Try peach wine.
94. Visit my brother at college.
95. Get a pair of thigh high boots – and wear them without feeling like a hooker.
99. Try 25 different beers.

Here’s what really bothers me about what’s left…watching a sunrise/sunset/stargazing? These things are free! So what’s my hold up? I haven’t found the perfect spot to watch from. I better get on it. Aside from that, my excuses seem to be “not enough time”…I need to learn to make time. But that’s why I’m doing this. I’m teaching myself how to fit 3 lives in 1.

And I guess a few are reserved for when it snows or gets colder. Until then I can knock everything else off. Wish me luck!

IT IS CRUNCH TIME!

real happiness lies in that which never comes nor goes, but simply is.

What are cake balls? Oh my. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

As for weight loss, I like Jillian Michaels' dvd's. They are cheap (like $9 at Target), so you don't have to join a gym. You can do it at home, all kinds of weather, and no excuses! Very effective. 30 Day Shred and/or No More Trouble Zones.

Snowman should be easy enough in Illinois, right? ANd carving a pumpkin?

Toys for Tots–go to Dollar Stores. you'd be surprised what you can find there. or stuff on clearance, etc. at wal mart/target.

Is it humanly possible to thread your own eyebrows?

Thanks for coming over to my blog! I'm about to become your newest follower!

I just carved a pumpkin last night! I hadn't done that since I was little and I forgot how much fun it was. Definitely something you could do on the cheap, and you don't have to worry about doing your hair since you'll get messy anyway!

Even though you have those goals to do, you should give yourself a pat on the back for having come so far and achieving the goals you have! I really take my hat of to you. You have inspired me to make my own bucket list which I've been formulating (with a little help with some other online lists!). I hope to take it live soon. So thanks! 🙂

  5. This list is awesome. I made a list like this when I was in college and it helped put my priorities in order so I didn't miss out on “college things”. The feeling of drawing that single little line through the item is such a great feeling!

Side note- I own a Hookah (<3 it!) and peach wine...so yummy!
